The WhatsApp Community feature has been developed in the past year. But the new Meta hinted at its official presence last April in a press release detailing the changes to the messaging app.

After several months of waiting for its presence, the WhatsApp team has finally started rolling out the feature.

The WABetaInfo report states that WhatsApp is currently testing the Community feature with some Android users. As a result, versions 2.22.219.3 (beta) and 2.22.219.3 (stable) became the initial versions of WhatsApp that were compatible with the Community feature.

Users who receive this new WhatsApp feature update will find a new Community tab that replaces the Camera tab in the old WhatsApp version.

For those who don't know, this Community feature allows users to easily manage all related groups and create sub-groups for various topics.

Users can create 10 sub-groups and each sub-group can contain up to 512 members.

As soon as you create a WhatsApp Community, a group is automatically created under it. WhatsApp users, for example, can create a Community for schools with subgroups for each class or extracurricular activity.

Administrators or admins, can send announcements to entire groups to reach specific users or only groups.
